Emily McKnight

Emily grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, and graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where she studied Ecology and English Composition. She has six years' experience in landscape design and maintenance working with private clients, and three years' experience working at a local plant nursery designing practical and attractive plantings for area residences and businesses, and offering expert consultation on cultural practices and garden products.

Emily's areas of expertise include: insect identification and natural pest management; tropical houseplant care and propagation; container gardening design and presentation; and indoor and outdoor ornamental aquaculture, including pond maintenance and fish health. Emily also specializes in edible gardening practices, companion planting strategies, raising heirloom vegetable varieties, and grafting tomato plants.
